Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

I tried out 3rd Strike years ago when I didn’t know anything about fighting games. I got bodied, of course.

Now that I know a bit more and I have a grasp of the basics I wanted to try again. It was way more fun and I was able to beat the single player mode after setting the difficulty to the maximum level. I picked Ken beacuse he’s easy and fun.

Yes, I know the difficulty drops after Gill starts laughing, so I save-stated and fought him as many times as I needed. It was truly hard for me, it took me a long time. Then I tried playing as Chun-Li and it was way easier. I know she’s top tier but that doesn’t necessarily apply to single player. My favorite character now is Yang, though.

I don’t think the single player mode of this game is discussed much on the internet, am I the only one who thinks CPU Akuma at maximum difficulty is bullshit? He reads your inputs like crazy. I’m surprised frame traps work against him at all.
